Version 2.71 was released on 13 August 2007 .  This is a maintenance release of Self-Storage Pro.  We've added several new features that enhances the usability of the software.  This is a preparation release for our upcoming international version.  There are several new features and fixes included in this release.  AndraTech Software decided to release this version now instead of waiting for the full point release, which ensures that all our 2.70 customers received these changes.  One of the most important changes is due to the X-Charge integration.  Version 6.2 of X-Charge has changed where its configuration data resides.  This version ensures that we can find it to continue our seamless integration.  This version continues to work with Microsoft Windows XP and testing has continued to ensure it works with the new Microsoft Windows Vista.

Self-Storage Pro v2.71 is a self-storage tool to put the automation in storage facility management.  Advanced features include automatic bill generation on paper and/or e-mail.  An industry exclusive feature allows you to download new reports from the our website (This feature is and always will be a free service).  We have the most advanced facility visualization in the industry with our Visual Facility Map.

The image below is a screen-shot of the Visual Facility Map.  It's the map found in the sample data of the download.  Color-coded units make it easy for a facility manager to get a clear view of the facility status.  And of course, the colors are configurable.

Key Features

• The program is designed to work on Windows 98 (with Internet Explorer 5.0 or better), Me, 2000, and XP (Home and Professional).
• Because it is developed completely in C++, the program runs faster and is more memory efficient than other programs written in interpreted languages such as Visual Basic, Access, etc.
• Shown above, "Visual Facility Map" displays an image of your facility with each unit color-coded to indicate the current status of that unit.  The colors can be customized to your personal taste.  It also allows you to selectively display particular status types.
• Recurring Billing.  Setup your tenants to automatically charge their credit card each month -- no more late notices!!!
• User login allows for restriction of areas by less knowledgeable employees.  Permissions are completely configurable for each employee.  Permissions groups allow for quick setup of standard users (i.e., Managers, Power Employees, Standard Employees).
• A unit addition wizard guides you through setting up multiple like units all at one time.  Saves time when configuring your system.
• Color-coded account status immediately relays to your employees the position of all your Tenants (shown below).  These colors map directly to those in the Visual Facility Map.
• Report import capability allows you to pick and choose what reports you want to use.  It is not restricted to the reports we decide to include in the program.
• Wizard based dialogs to easily add new tenants; add and transfer units; and add contacts and waiting list members.
• Tabbed configuration pages.  Organized to easily manage business rules, late fees, discounts, form letters, and several other items.
• Automatic processing at the beginning of each day assesses fees, monthly cycle amounts, and late fees.
• Automatic bill and late fee notice generation, printing, and e-mailing.
• Interface to several Gate / Access Control Systems.  Currently implemented: DigiGate, Demco, and WHAM. We will be adding DKS DoorKing and Alltec's GateEase soon.  Is your system not on the list?  Contact us to have your access control system integrate into Self-Storage Pro.
• Optionally collect rental tax from your tenants.
• Detailed transaction ledger helps track paid charges.
• Integrated credit card processing utilizing X-Charge.
• Capability to print the Visual Facility Map with or without status colors and/or unit numbers.
• Change all your unit rates at one time.  Change by unit type or individually.  Change rate to a specific values, or increase/decrease by a dollar amount or percentage value.
• Accept payments directly from the Visual Map.
• Display account information either by tenant or by unit.
• AES Encryption is used throughout the software to protect your data and your tenants credit card information.
